Doloplazy is in the Olomouc District. The village has a primary school for pupils in Years 1 to 5 and a nursery school. The old school building dates from 1874. The cultural centre in the village centre has a large hall with a stage, an adjoining room and a small hall upstairs.

Historical records first mention Doloplazy in 1228. The village belonged to the Velehrad monastery until 1719. The Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, built in 1896, is the village’s landmark; opposite it stands the rectory with its parish courtyard.
